MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

Montreal Impact was dropped 3-1 in Vancouver in an ill-tempered match in midweek just four days after handing the Whitecaps a 4-2 loss at the same venue. Rudy Camacho gave up a penalty and was red carded in the 40th minute and that allowed Vancouver Whitecaps to take the lead and double it four minutes later. Romell Quioto cut the deficit in half at 70 minutes but Montreal Impact conceded again eight minutes later. They have won and lost three of their last six league games in alternating fashion.

Philadelphia Union won their second league outing on the trot last weekend when they edged New England 2-1 at home courtesy of a brace from Anthony Fontana. He opened the scoring in the 73rd minute after New England were reduced to 10 men 20 minutes earlier. New England levelled in the 81st minute though but man of the match Fontana scored his second of the game and the season just before the final whistle to secure the points. The Union has four wins a draw and loss in the last six league matches.

Montreal Impact will be without two key players due to suspension and I feel the Philadelphia Union will take advantage with an away win.

HEAD TO HEAD

Montreal Impact won 4-0 at home last season with the Union 3-0 victors at home.
